Dr. Dominique Walker-Branch

Hi, I’m Dr. Dominique Walker-Branch

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

For nearly a decade, I’ve supported children, adolescents, adults, and families in navigating life’s challenges. My work is rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and the belief that healing begins when your story is honored and your voice is truly heard. I strive to create a space where you and your loved ones can feel seen, understood, and empowered to build healthier connections.

My Specialties

I specialize in working with:

🔸 Adolescents and young adults navigating identity, self-esteem, and anxiety

🔸Couples and families facing conflict, communication struggles, or transitions

🔸Parenting concerns and child/adolescent behavioral issues

🔸Mood disorders, anxiety, and perfectionism

🔸Life transitions and adjustment challenges

🔸Trauma, racial identity, and racial trauma

My Approach

I practice from a Narrative and Contextual Therapy lens. I believe difficulties often arise when families or couples get stuck in stories that no longer serve them. In therapy, we reframe those narratives so that problems become something to work on together — not something that defines who you are. This non-blaming approach builds empathy, trust, and new ways of relating.

I also integrate a Contextual approach, emphasizing fairness and reciprocity in relationships. Therapy is a space where family members and partners can feel validated, creating room for healthier dialogue and stronger bonds. I see clients as the experts on their own lives — my role is to help you uncover and strengthen the tools you already carry.

Experience & Background

My training includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University, and a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University.

I’ve worked in diverse settings — from inpatient psychiatric treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital, to community mental health centers, schools, and university clinics. I’ve also had the privilege of serving Black couples and families, refugee families, and low-income families through partnerships with Head Start programs and the Southwest Connections Center in Syracuse, NY. These experiences continue to shape my commitment to providing inclusive, affirming care for clients from marginalized backgrounds.

My Commitment

Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family, I’m here to support you in moving past unhelpful patterns and into a place of healing and growth. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped to navigate challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

MEET TOLAYA!

Founder, Psychotherapist

Hi, I’m Tolaya Geredine, LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)

For more than a decade, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside individuals on their healing journeys. I hold space with warmth, grace, and curiosity, helping clients confront patterns, reconnect with themselves, and create meaningful change.

My Specialties

I work with clients navigating:

🔸 Trauma healing through EMDR & Brainspotting

🔸 Perinatal and postpartum mental health, including birth trauma

🔸 Inner child and reparenting work

🔸 Relationship with self, boundaries, and codependency recovery

🔸 Family of origin issues & attachment wounds

🔸 Religious trauma and spiritual wounding

🔸 Life transitions, identity exploration, and queer experiences

🔸 Therapist consultation, supervision, and business mindset coaching

EMDR & Trauma Healing

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful approach to processing trauma and unlearning the negative beliefs it leaves behind. Trauma often tells us we are unworthy, powerless, or broken. Together, we’ll work to release those beliefs and reconnect you with your strength, resilience, and self-trust.

A Decolonized Approach

Healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum — it is shaped by culture, systems, and generational experiences. I take a decolonized approach to therapy, meaning we center your identity, values, and lived experiences. This is a space where you can bring your whole self — no code-switching required — and know that your story will be honored.

My Approach

Clients often describe me as both compassionate and direct. I bring curiosity, accountability, and warmth into every session. Above all, I believe you are worthy of peace, clarity, and a life that feels like your own. My role is to support you as you release what no longer serves you and step fully into your power.

✨ If something here resonates with you, I’d love to connect. I invite you to schedule a consultation and begin your journey within.
